As President of the Awards, Sarah AbdulWahab Al-Refaie, together with Mona Al Turki (Head of Public Relations Committee) and Dr. Samar Baqer (Head of Marketing Committee), expressed her deep appreciation towards the enthusiasm of the participants and heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors, in particular to Dr. Rashid Al-Ajmi, Dean - College of Business Administration (CBA). Ms. Al-Refaie also recommended the entry of a home sponsor from among the news media. “Our work cannot develop further unless we get realistic support from the media” she said, adding that their award was the result of motivated Kuwaiti teamwork.
Dr. Turki Al Shammari from CBA welcomed the continuation of the awards concept since its launch in 2005 and noticed that the project had gained the appreciation and respect from leaders in the government as well as from private organizations. Also he was delighted with the endorsements received so far.
Ms. Al Turki explained that the entry of young people is important to spread the spirit of competition and develop their potential in the field of creative advertising. Therefore, a youth category will be added in the next competition. “The prize could be a turning point in the life of young artists. The participation in itself is evidence of the love and the acceptance of the challenge to be ‘the best you can be’.”
Dr. Baqer, who is also a member of the Arbitration Committee, added that the number of participants is increasing year by year. Participants are registered according to marketing targets and the categories have been expanded and made more professional.
Another member of the Arbitration Committee, Dr. Amre El-Lakany, will be receiving enquiries from the participants about advertisement sorting stage for the coming years.
Mr. Dawood Mugae’s, Chairman of Four Films Press, characterized the committee’s work in particular as “making a statement” in the Kuwaiti market and a contribution to the continuous development of advertising.
